Looking for an NH360 alternative? This one is written for enterprise PMOs running a real evaluation. Eighteen requirements, the plan each capability actually ships in, both vendors’ published prices, and the places each product is the weaker choice.
Commercial disclosure: PPM Express produced and funded this comparison. Every assessment was drafted with AI from the vendors’ own published documentation, then reviewed and approved by PPM Express Analysts before publication. It evaluates publicly documented product capabilities against a defined requirement set; it is not independent analyst research or a benchmark test of both systems on the same dataset.Read the full method
NH360 is the only product in this comparison set with native business architecture, capability planning and IT portfolio rationalization. If your portfolio problem starts with capability maps and application rationalization, that is a genuine advantage nothing else here matches. It comes from a consultancy, it is quoted, and the delivery-side pieces, time capture and AI reporting, are the thinner half. Pick PPM Express if the job is running the portfolio. Pick NH360 if the job is deciding what the portfolio should contain.
Primary trade-off: For business architecture, capability planning and application rationalization, NH360 is the more complete product.
Primary trade-off: No published price, and the delivery-side pieces are thinner: time capture is evidenced in case studies rather than product docs, and generative AI reporting depth is not clearly documented.
The default scenario is an enterprise hybrid PMO with 250 modeled users, 75 to 250 active initiatives, several delivery systems in play, and a need for centralized portfolio, resource, financial and executive reporting.
Wants everyone in the portfolio, governance across the tools teams already use, resource and financial control, and a cost that does not move when headcount does.
Leads at the default 250-user benchmark because the $25,000 annual plan includes unlimited users and broad participation is mandatory.
Strong on strategy, financials and architecture. Time capture, AI reporting and the quoted price are what cost it here.

How the score works: Meets = 1, Partially meets = 0.5, Does not meet = 0. Mandatory requirements weigh more than Important ones, and Important more than Optional. Read the table. The percentage is a summary of it, not the result.
Capability maps, application rationalization and business architecture are built into NH360 rather than bolted on. No other product in this comparison set can say that. If your portfolio decisions start from a capability model, it changes the shortlist.
North Highland is a consulting firm with a platform. That brings accelerators, architecture models and people who have done the transformation before. It also means the engagement is usually software plus services rather than software alone.
Time capture shows up in case studies rather than product documentation, and current generative AI depth is not clearly published. Both are worth pinning down in a demo rather than assuming.
A comparison that only lists strengths is a brochure. Check each of these against your own operating model, the integrations you actually need, and how much implementation capacity you have.
Packaged enterprise PPM. One price, no seat count.
Strategy, architecture and portfolio in one quoted platform.
The short version: NH360 if capability mapping and application rationalization are part of the portfolio problem. PPM Express if running the portfolio day to day, at a published price, is the problem.
Every figure here is an annual cost at 250 users. Enterprise Ultra is the plan being compared; PPM Express Enterprise appears as a price reference only. North Highland does not publish NH360 list pricing, so the rows below use a planning floor rather than a quote. The $100,000 figure is a planning floor for budgeting, not a quote, and it is the one number on this page that is an estimate rather than a published price.
Pricing was verified from each vendor’s public website on August 21, 2026.
Default summary scenario: 250 users. Official pricing sources: PPM Express [12] and NH360 [8].
Calculation assumption: NH360 does not publish a list price, so the rows above use a $100,000 annual planning floor rather than a quoted figure. The same floor is shown at 100, 250 and 500 users because a quoted enterprise agreement does not scale linearly the way a per-seat price does; your actual number depends on modules, users and term. PPM Express Enterprise Ultra remains $25,000 per year with unlimited users. Taxes, discounts, implementation, migration, integrations, support and professional services are excluded on both sides.

Explore PPM ExpressThis is not a bake-off. Nobody loaded the same dataset into both products. What it does check is whether each vendor publicly documents a capability that meets the requirement, and what edition, integration or service you need to get it.
The full method is published. The eighteen requirements, the weightings, the three buyer scenarios, the evidence rules and the limitations are all set out on the comparison methodology page.
Requirement coverage, plans, integrations and published pricing.
Partly. They overlap on portfolio governance, financials and resources. They diverge on either side of that: NH360 goes up into business architecture and capability planning, PPM Express goes out into the delivery tools teams already use. Which gap you are filling decides which one is the alternative.
North Highland does not publish list pricing, so there is no arithmetic to show. Budget from a $100,000 annual floor and expect the real number to depend on modules, users, term and how much consulting is in scope. PPM Express Enterprise Ultra is $25,000 a year with unlimited users.
PPM Express scores higher on this requirement set, mainly on commercial model, time capture and AI reporting. NH360 wins outright on enterprise architecture and matches it on strategy, financials and what-if modeling.
The evidence is thinner here than elsewhere. Time-writing appears in North Highland's customer outcomes rather than in standard product documentation, which is why it scores as partially met. If timesheets are mandatory for you, confirm the packaging before shortlisting.
No. NH360 includes architecture capabilities PPM Express does not, and PPM Express includes packaged AI reporting and time tracking that NH360 does not clearly document. The pricing rows compare a published subscription against a planning floor.
